After 4 years, Liverpool won his first opening day match in the league. In absence of main striker of Anfield Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge put his legs and lead Liverpool to win against Stoke city with 1-0.
New signing of Liverpool Simon Mignolet also gave a terrific performance and made 3 very important saves against Stoke.
Brendan Rodgers on Mignlot,"Made three terrific saves. When you get the penalty against you at the end you get a sinking feeling. But he did his homework - he knows where all the penalty takers are going, he made a good first save and then obviously the second action to get up and make the double save was impressive."

Look like no signing for Arsenal made them frustrate. 10 men Arsenal can't get the victory after 2 smashing goals by Benteke.Two penalties were good enough for Aston villa to rule over the Gunners in the first match.
Fans were hoping for Szczesny but he failed and flop star in the first crucial match in the week.
C. Benteke and new Spanish signing Luna impressed well in the first match from Aston Villa.
